Financial Policy

We file Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Champus, Worker’s Comp, Blue Cross and many other insurances and managed care contracts. Your benefits and coverage will be verified and you will be advised of your responsibility before your services are provided in most instances. Any unmet deductible for your calendar year will be calculated with your balance due. Coverage of services cannot be guaranteed even when prior approval is obtained. All patient portions are expected at the time services are provided unless prior arrangements have been made.

Warranty Policy

Dothan Brace Shop is committed to satisfying those who we serve. We stand behind our workmanship and the materials that we use.

Due to the unique, custom nature of the prosthetic, orthotic, pedorthic, mastectomy and mobility products that we fit and fabricate, there is no standard warranty that covers all of our devices. In fact, we utilize many products and componentry that are covered by their own manufacturer’s warranty. If you are one of our patients, and are not satisfied with our services or products, please contact our office in Dothan, AL with any grievances regarding quality of care, materials or componentry, administrative or billing issues, practitioner involvement, services performed, etc.

If the grievance relates to a product, the patient will be seen by the practitioner/mobility technician who dispensed the device to him/her to determine and correct the problem. If the problem is resolved, no further action is taken. The results are documented in the patient’s chart. If the grievance involves quality care, the Manager is consulted to define and resolve the problem. If the patient remains dissatisfied, Dothan Brace Shop will arrange for the patient to be evaluated by a different practitioner within the organization and will also consult the referring physician involved. Billing and administrative grievances are referred to the Billing Manager who interacts with the personnel involved to define and resolve the problem.
